labbox+

Some products included in our catalogue are available in two different qualities: the standard quality with the best price and the upper grade quality, labeled as labbox+. These labbox+ products do have some relevant characteristics making them more suitable for some particular applications, but still keeping a very good quality-price ratio as all labbox products.

For example:

-Volumetric flasks labeled as labbox+ have been manufactured with glass from leading manufacturers of laboratory glassware and each flask has a batch number printed on it, making them particularly demanded in pharmaceutical industry or research laboratories.

-Tips labbox+ are DNase, RNase and PCR inhibitors-free certified, making them specifically designed for PCR techniques.

Labbox glassware, technical specifications

LBG 3.3 is a borosilicate glass with a minimum content in silica of 80% and a low expansion coefficient (3,3•10-6 K-1) included in the 3.3 borosilicate group, as defined in ISO 3585 standard.
It is used in products where chemical and mechanical resistance is to be combined with resistance to sudden temperature changes. This particular combination of properties makes this type of glass the most used in labware.

In production of glass products labbox+, we do not use our LBG 3.3 borosilicate glass, but rather a 3.3 borosilicate glass from leading manufacturers of laboratory glassware.

LBG N is a neutral borosilicate glass with a high chemical resistance. Its average linear dilation coefficient is 8,0•10-6 K-1. It is used in products not intended to be directly heated, but instead should have a higher mechanical resistance (such as mortars, desiccators, filtering flasks …) or in some volumetric glassware (such as pipettes, burettes …).

LBG A is a neutral borosilicate glass similar to LBG N but amber so to protect photosensitive products.
